  • 1 Pressure Cooker Make sure to check the specific settings required for your machine (Instant Pot, Breville, Presto, Ninja)


  • 1 cup white rice
  • 1 cup water


  • Rinse the rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.
  • Add 2 cups of water or broth to the pot with 1 cup of long-grain white rice and 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional).
  • Lock the lid into place and bring up to high pressure over high heat.
  • Cook for 10 minutes at high pressure and then release the pressure valve


Each individual pressure cooker may have slight differences in cook time so make sure to check with your specific machine.
Keep to the ratio of 1:1 with rice and water when cooking. How much rice you can make is dependant on the size of your pressure cooker.
